My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BUDDY is a 8.5-year-old neutered male black lab. Buddy weighs 70 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION Buddy is completely blind, but his hearing and smell are fine. He is a great boy. Buddy loves treats and is gentle taking them. Buddy is good with other dogs. He was brought into the shelter with other dogs and was kenneled with one of them until the other dog was adopted. We don't know how Buddy is with cats. From transporter: Buddy is a sweet boy. He loves hugs!

UPDATE: If you're looking to adopt a super laid back dog who just loves to be petted, then meet Buddy. This sweet boy arrived at his foster home yesterday. He's met the resident Labs, showed that he loves naps, is super gentle taking treats, slept through the night without so much as a peep, and is just a very sweet boy.

UPDTE: Buddy is a super chill, totally relaxed boy. He spends most of his time taking naps, but enjoys walks around the neighborhood and just loves to have his belly rubbed and his head scratched. He has impeccable house manners and is house-trained. He has the run of the house and doesn't touch a thing. He gets along well with the resident dogs and will be happy in a home with other dogs or as an only dog. He does not bark. Although Buddy did well when he practiced stairs on a leash, he may be happiest in a home with few stairs. He is the most low maintenance dog his fosters have ever had.

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. Lab Rescue LRCP rescues and places dogs in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and northeast North Carolina (30 miles east of I-95 and north of the Pamlico Sound.) Adopters must travel to Maryland, or Virginia with their family - human and canine - to meet the dog they want to adopt.

Lab Rescue LRCP has between 40 - 80 dogs available for adoption from foster homes across Maryland and Virginia, and at monthly adoption events. The adoption event dates and locations are listed at www.lab-rescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. After you submit an application, you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.

An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a home visit is required.
