A Rare Find!!!

Yes, our Walt Whitman is as adorable as he looks!  This little plushy is a Coton de Tulear/Havanese mix about 4 years old and 13 lbs.
 
Walt was removed from a tough situation and then had to spend a few months in a shelter while details were completed.  He is in foster care now and is doing so well. Walt was extremely shy, fearful and submissive, but he is coming out of his shell more every day and it is a joy to behold!  He gets along with his foster brothers just fine.  (We don't know about cats.)
 
Walt does have severe dry eye, which has never been treated. He is getting medications now and is scheduled to see an ophthalmologist.  It is likely that he will need eye drops for the rest of his life, but as long as there is a treat afterwards, he's okay with it! 
 
Walt will be ready for his forever-and-ever home once his eyes are re-checked and his teeth are sparkling, but you can put in your application now. He is such a treasure and with a calm and patient home he will blossom before your eyes.
