Say hello to gorgeous, tiny Kibbie. Kibbie is a spayed German Shepherd mix, and we describe her as tiny, because, for a GSD, she is! At 1.5 years old, Kibbie weighs under 35 lbs, which basically makes her a miniature Shepherd because she is done growing. Her size makes her perfect for a house with a yard or apartment life with active owners. Kiki, as we affectionately refer to her, is a silly, loving dog. We've often wondered if her "mix" isn't German Shepherd and cartoon character! She is one of the most dog social dogs we've ever met; she gets along with every dog she's been introduced to, but her favorite buddies are those who will run and wrestle with her. Kibbie is a high energy dog, and would do great in a home with an active family- running, hiking, walking, biking - Kibbie is down for it all, but when it's time to settle down, she will curl up for a cuddle. She's even started learning to fetch and would make an excellent frisbee or agility partner. Kibbie has great side-kick potential, while she is crate trained, she would much prefer to be with her people; in the morning she likes to sit and watch her foster mom get ready for work. Kibbie is potty trained and crate trained, loves kids, all dogs large and small, and isn't especially interested in the cats at her foster home. Kibbie has the double coat GSD's are known for, so she will require regular brushing to keep the shedding to a minimum, but otherwise, her grooming needs are minimal. Kibbie is very, very smart, and more importantly, eager to please - which makes her a quick learner. Her soulful brown eyes can also see deep into your soul. If you have been looking for the perfectly sized dog for every environment from the mountain trail to the apartment couch, Kibbie is the dog for you.
