Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Back in the beginning of March we pulled this black lab that was in pretty severe condition. Not only was she in a compromised condition on the outside due to mange, she was also suffering internally from heartworms. It took over 2 months for this girl to get to where she is at today literally. Yesterday (6/15), 10 weeks after we pulled this labby girl we were finally able to welcome Miss Amelia to New York and help her find her home sweet home. Despite the her harsh past Amelia doesn’t seem to have missed a beat. She is your typical happy, labby, goofy girl just waiting to be part of a family.
Amelia is estimated to be about 2-4 years old. She weighs about 55lbs. Amelia is completely social with everyone, however she will need a family that can show the ropes with basic obedience skills. Amelia does have scarring on her back end and the bottom of her legs near her paws. This is the aftermath of a severe case of mange. The vet is unsure if it will every grow back. As you can see she also has some grey hair speckled throughout her face, this is also due to the severe case of mange. Some of her fur grew back grey. Amelia is completely heartworm and mange treated. This girl is all ready to live her happily ever after.
