My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope was found when she was about 6 weeks old by a family and taken in by them. She was very happy and super loving, but sadly after about 6 weeks the family could no longer keep her and contacted Happy Kitty to take her in.
We took in Penelope and immediately fell in love with her, but she wasn't so sure because her little world was turned upside down. After about 3 days she felt comfortable enough to trust us and hasn't looked back since. She went to a separate Foster family for a few days and absolutely had a great time with the 7 year old boy. She came back to our care and has done wonderfully with dogs and is full of personality, a non stop motor and not only wonderful playing skills but a good snuggler.
Sadly she has had 2 adopters who expressed interest in her, applications were approved and when the call was made to set up a meeting with her, changed their minds.
This was heartbreaking for us especially after the 2nd time it happened. Most people are looking for younger kittens so we feel her chances of finding a loving home will continue to get harder through no fault of her own, as she can't help getting older.
