For more photos/videos and detailed information on Thor, please visit our website at myaarf.org.
Thor was pulled from one of the worst shelters in the rural Louisiana area that we work in. However, you would never know it from his smile and disposition. He is an absolute doll and gets along with everything and everyone he meets, including cats, kids and dogs. Thor was also a good older fur sibling to a couple of puppies his foster mom was nursing back to health as well. The puppies were attacked by an animal or human as they had abscesses, cuts and wounds all over their bodies. When they first arrived at their foster home, they would not eat or drink for the first couple days. Thor took it upon himself to pick up kibble in his mouth and take it to each to them to tell them to eat. They would eat the food he would bring them and slowly learned to trust their foster mom along the way. He is a dream dog and would make any person, couple or family, who is committed to providing him the best life possible, very happy.
His ideal home would include fur siblings and kids. We are also hoping to limit his alone time as he will require an acclimation period as well as obedience training and continued potty reinforcement in his new home. If you are looking for a loving, animal friendly pup to add to your pack, look no further than Thor!
Thor is being fostered in Shoreline, WA
As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file . Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Thor's adoption fee is $450 which includes transportation, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
