Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 1 year
Breed: Dachshund mix
Weight: 10 kg
Color: Blonde
Spayed female
Suerte is only a year old Dachshund Mix. She is the “perfect” dog except for one thing (mentioned further down).
She was rescued from the streets of Costa Rica. Her skin was in a very bad shape, it had mange everywhere, no fur and she herself was very, very thin.
That was months ago. The pictures below are very recent.
All Suerte wants is to be cuddled and have yummy treats available. If it was both at the same time, that wold be even better.
She doesn’t tear anything up or bother anything and almost never barks. She gets along well with all dogs even those more rumbustious ones. She doesn’t bother the cats and from limited interactions, loves children. When her foster mom took her to the vet once she was wagging her tail at everyone trying to get attention. There were two small kids (under five) that came up and petted her and she was so happy. She does love to go for walks, and whenever she has a chance, she takes off into the jungle chasing something, only to reappear later covered in dirt but so happy.
The one bad thing about her is that when a new dog is introduced into the house she will start peeing and sometimes pooping in the house at night. She usually does this for a few days after the new dog arrives, up to a week or so. If she was crated at night this wouldn’t happen. She will also bark at the new dog every time she sees it “again” for around a week. For instance, if she is inside and the new dog goes outside and then comes back in, she will bark at the new dog as though it’s an intruder.Other than that, shes pretty much perfect.
So there you have it... Suerte...
Vaccinated and spayed.
Location: Will fly into Toronto mid July.
Adoption Fee: $450.00
If you want the perfect little companion, please consider Suerte. She'll fly all the way from Costa Rica to find a home.
