Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Adoptive Family Wanted For This Sweet 8 Month Old Puppy***
We have a black lab, no, a chocolate lab, no, wait..., a black lab... (ahhh he is both actually) puppy available for adoption.
To clarify the above, he is black on his head and brown on his body, or the other way around, I am sorry I do not remember, but will check in for that with the foster mom 😆
Bear is an Egyptian native that flew into Toronto just a few days ago. Back home, he lived at a shelter, surrounded by many dogs of all sizes, shapes and temperaments. He slept in a kennel and although there were very nice volunteers coming and going to take care of the dogs, there was no one person that would love him and whom he could call ‘his own’.
Bear’s personality is as beautiful and unique as his physical characteristics.
Although he has never lived inside a house, since movng in with his foster mom, he has not had any accidents. Like a gentleman that he is, he goes outside to do all ‘his business’.
Moreover, unfortunately due to the set up and sheer number of dogs, Bear was never taught to walk on a leash. However, when his foster mom put one on and took him outsid, although at first weary and nervous, now he walks well, with his head held high and the tail held not too high, just perfect, as if he was proud to be here and one of the dogs.
Bear has a remarkable calm personality. He is calm in the house, calm on the walks, (although new situations do scare him a little, so lots of socialization and exposure will be necessary) and calm around other dogs and cats.
Even when a 3 lb. Chihuahua monster charges at him, bearing teeth and threatening to bite, he does what any other self-respecting dog would do: he calmly walks away.
We are looking for a special family that will appreciate the dog that he is and will love him to no end. A family that will take him to obedience training and teach him all kinds of tricks so they can show him off to his friends, and trust me, Bear will not disappoint. A family that is active outdoors, so they can take him for long walks and hikes in nature, for a bike ride or a cool place to ‘kick their shoes off’ as they say and simply hang out.
Bear is very friendly with other dogs and cats. Taking into consideration his personality, he will do well with respectful kids although not without parental supervision.
He is neutered and vaccinated.
He is fostered in Hamilton, Ontario
His adoption fee is $450.00
