Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone it’s me Sherlock. I am a good boy. When I was at the vets, they called me sooo sweet. Foster mom agrees, she says I am a very sweet boy and I am gorgeous.
Mom says my beautiful face should be in the dictionary beside the word beagle.
I live in a house with four other beagles and get along fine with everyone. I have a fenced in yard that I love to run around in and play chase with them. Sometimes they chase me and sometimes I chase them. Either way it’s lots of fun.
When I first got to my foster home I was shy and scared. But foster mom said it’s going to be OK. She gave me lots of petting and rubbings that felt really good. Now I can’t get enough of it. When she tries to pet one of the others, I just push my way in to get some too. I learned that dog beds are very comfortable. I learned also that I am only supposed to eat out of MY dog bowl.
During the day I get to sleep anywhere I want when foster mom is home. At night I sleep in a crate so that I don’t go and visit the other beagles that are sleeping. I am also crated and get this really good thing called a KONG filled with treats when mom has errands to run.
I am working on this housetraining thing. Mom says it’s about 95% right now. You need to take me out as soon as I am out of my crate. You will also have to watch for signs of me wandering around the house. That usually means I need to pee.
If you are looking for a sweet, gorgeous beagle boy, who wants to be cuddled and loved, it’s me Sherlock. Or as foster mom calls me, Sherlock Holmes.
NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
