Hi! My name is Miss Piggy!

I'm about 2 years old and I've been told I'm a thick girl! I LOVE to snuggle and cuddle. I just want to be as close to you as possible, plus I love to give kisses. I'm good with humans of all sizes and other medium-large dogs, but cats, chickens, and any other small animals look like snacks to me!

I am a graduate of the PAWS program, but I also have had a decent amount of training towards becoming an ESA/ Therapy Dog! I am really good at it, and would love a future home with someone who needs me or wants to volunteer with me! My current foster mom is also a service dog trainer who specializes in psychiatric service dogs- she says I'd be good at that, too!

I love to play and run. I'm really playful with other dogs, because wrestling is super fun! I also really like to play chase and fetch. I have the nickname "Pig the Destroyer" because I can chew up any toy or bone, no matter how "tough"! As long as I have my toys though, I'm not destructive to my human's things!

Viva! Animal Rescue NM is a foster based rescue therefore we do not have a shelter facility. Meet & Greets can be arranged by appointment only or if the animal is at an adoption event. Our adoption process begins with an adoption application, which you can fill out in person at an event or online here: http://www.viva-nm.org/adopt/adoptionapplication/

Once the application is submitted and approved, Viva conducts a meet & greet, and then a home visit. Once the application, meet & greet, and home visit are successfully completed we complete our adoptions with an adoption contract and payment of the adoption fee. Each contract includes a 10 day trial adoption period. We do NOT do out of state adoptions.

Adoption fee for Miss Piggy is $250. The adoption fee includes current vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, Spay/Neuter, Heartworm test, and microchip.
