My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful little girl is Noka, a 4-5 year old shih tzu that has had a rough past, but is now loving life and looking for a forever home. She is spayed and current on her vaccinations.

Noka came into the rescue several months ago with injuries to her eyes that had been untreated, which lead to her going blind. We had one eye removed but the other is intact and causes her no pain or discomfort.

Noka also arrived at the rescue with a companion, Molly also posted 4-5 year old Westie/ Terrier mix. We would love to have these two girls go into a home together, They love each other and Molly watches out for Noka. They have their own way of playing together. Though Molly does enjoy getting out and playing with other dogs.

Noka is house trained and LOVES going outdoors for fresh air and sun bathing, She gets around outdoors very well, but I have never left her alone unless in a small fenced area with her companion.

Noka loves attention, she enjoys being brushed and has moments of play time, which consist of her patting the floor with her feet, army crawling and making a sweet" play with me " request.

Don't let her being blind discourage you, Noka is very sweet and gets around fine once she learns her environment, she communicates with a low tone bark when it's time for her to go potty, and will alert you to noises outdoors.

Noka deserves a forever home, withher buddy Molly. She is a great companion and will be loyal to the end!
