My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Buffy. I am four to five months old and around 15 pounds. I think I am a “Greyhuahua”, a Chihuahua Italian Greyhound mix....I might even have some Basenji in me. I am very sweet and a major cuddler who loves to sleep under the covers with you. I love to go on leashed walks and play fetch or chase in a fenced yard. I behave well on family outings and ride well in the car while crated. I also enjoy quiet time relaxing with you on the couch. I may be a little nervous with you at first, but my sweet nature shines through and I quickly warm up to kind people. I can be around respectful older children. If you leave me home alone I should be crated. I am not yappy, but I do alert my humans when someone comes to the door.
Buffy isn’t quite potty trained so needs a home where someone is home much of the time and can take her out to go potty fairly frequently. And she will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard (not invisible fence).

We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
