Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy - URGENT
Lucy's story is tragic. She lived her early life at the end of a short chain, often beaten, rarely fed and never touched by humans. When she had puppies, her puppies were collected and she and them were dumped in a remote area. All but one of puppies did not survive, and sadly, Lucy returned to the only place she knew, her abusive and neglectful home, with one puppy. Again she was chained along with her one pup and endured the same life until an animal welfare advocate was able to rescue her.
Unfortunately, Lucy's luck didn't completely turn, she was somehow overlooked again and again in the shelter she was at, and the young sweet girl aged away in a small kennel, still accompanied by her pup. Lucy has now spent more than half of her life in a shelter, over 6 years, waiting for a family. She is now 10 years old, a quiet and sweet girl whose eyes beg to be rescued and have a home. She needs a quiet home with human attention. She gets along fine with other dogs but prefers the company of humans.
Lucy is a Border Collie/Beagle mix, vaccinated, microchipped and sterilized and would arrive in the U.S. in Denver, CO June 19. She must have a confirmed home waiting in order to transport.
