Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Demi is a sweet, spunky and friendly little girl, a Kokkoni, traditional Greek breed used for guarding chickens. Currently temporarily sheltered in Athens, Greece. She is about 3 years old, and was dumped on the road as a puppy because of an autoimmune disorder. She has an extremely low platelet count which is believed to be caused by a disease called thrombocytopenia, in which a dog's body attacks its own blood platelets, so she will need someone with the resources to be able to do regular blood tests and possibly further vet specialist diagnosis and treatment. This care is not available for her in Greece, so we are working to find her a home in the U.S. to help save her. She is otherwise healthy.
Demi loves people, is very friendly and playful and does well with other dogs. No cats. She is vaccinated, microchipped and sterilized and would arrive in the U.S. in Denver, CO June 19. She must have a confirmed home waiting in order to transport.
