Bailey Jade is available for adoption through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue 💚
Bailey is one of those cats that I'm glad we have, but wish we didn't have to have. She is so easily adoptable. She has nothing to overcome or needs that we had to work on. She's a happy go lucky, spunky, healthy, social, vibrant, funny, CHATTY little girl.
So why is she with us? As you may know, we rescue primarily from our city shelter, and that's where Bailey was. She was surrendered with two other cats who were quickly adopted. Bailey was a little shy at first but then she became a bright light and we advocated for her super hard. Her spay was sponsored, we made special posts, videos - you name it. But no home came. After six weeks in a small cage, it came time for us to save her. She couldn't stay any longer, so we pulled her for rescue and off to our vet she went.
Bailey wasn't spayed, so she was spayed and fully vetted. We usually wait two days post spay before we take them to FUR, so they don't do anything on the shelving to harm the integrity of their sutures.
Well, poor Bailey had to wait TEN more days in a kennel and those ten days were also spent in a cone, because she refused to leave her sutures alone. She kept trying to rip them out :( We had no choice but to leave her at her at the vet, in a cone, until she was fully healed and the sutures could be removed.
After alllllll of that, losing her home, waiting in a shelter cage, waiting in a vet cage in a cone - it had been 8 weeks.
8 weeks without running, jumping, looking outside, have any sort of physical exertion. She was 8 months old when surrendered, and now 10 months old.
We have had Bailey Jade for 11 days now and she is more than ready for the home of her dreams. She's amazing because even after all of that - She's STILL a happy go lucky, spunky, healthy, social, vibrant, funny, CHATTY little girl. She is still a bright light and ready for the home of her dreams.
FAMILY GOALS 👪🏡
Bailey Jade is really quite easy. She is very energetic, she loves toys and people more than anything! She doesn't appear to get onto counters or sinks, etc. She likes ground level and likes to sleep in a pet bed, although I full expect her to be a "sleep by my human" type girl in the home.
She LOVES LOVES LOVES her wand. It is her everything. We have to take of away sometimes to give her a break from it. She likes to play fetch with crinkly balls.
She doesn't love to be held but loves your lap and rubbing on you when you are sitting down. Bailey is a really small cat and projected to remain that way. She's just a petite little thing.
Her ideal home is a normal, every day family. Busy or not. Chaotic or not. She's fine with everything (except vacuums lol!). She just loves people and wants to be a true forever family member.

Bailey is litter trained and uses a very large covered box made by Nature's Miracle and clumping non scented, dust free litter.

🌍 Located in North Platte NE, but non local adoptions are possible.
