Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harp is simply a very special kitten, inside and out! She's still very young, so we are hoping to find her forever family, who can foster her while she grows big enough to be officially adopted.
Harp is tiny but mighty. We have a feeling she's going to have a big character. As just 4 or 5 weeks old she's already showing the world who she is; confident, affectionate, talkative, social and a lover of cheek rubs. She purrs so easily too!
Right now she is a ball of curiosity, and enjoys following you around and talking about how hungry she is, and how much she missed you when you were away. She also loves the friendly doggy in her foster home, as well as the 3 year old kid! After a good play she'll jump up to sit near you and fall into a deep kitten sleep.
Harp does have two siblings who could be homed with her, or she could be homed alone. They are still warming up to people, but we've no doubt they will soon be confident little characters just like Harp.
Harp and her siblings were rescued recently from a community garden in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn where they were born.
So far she has visited a veterinarian for health check, where she tested for FIV/FeLV (negative), and given preventative treatment for parasites. We will coordinate and cover the costs of essential veterinary care through our low cost partners: vaccines (FVRCP & Rabies), a micro chip, and spay surgery. We would expect all of this to be complete by the time Harp is approximately 4 months old.
Preference will be given to adopters who are willing to transport Harp to her various veterinary appointments while in foster care.
