Meet Riley – this is one cute little girl! She is one year old – 14 pounds, and full of all the puppy energy in the world! Riley was found as a stray – how does a puppy become a stray?? Your guess is as good as mine! She spent some time in a shelter when SRC pulled her out and brought her into rescue. She is being fostered in Indianapolis, IN.
Riley gets along with the resident dogs in her foster home – although they have a hard time keeping up her energy! But, she does play well with them! Cats – well that’s another story…I’m not quite sure what she thinks they are, but she tries very hard to make friends – they just don’t like her. She chases them, but she doesn’t hurt them.
Riley has been kid tested with older children (6-8) – but because of her energy level babies or toddlers are not recommended. An active family would be a plus for this girl and, a home with a fence is a must!! This girl needs a lot of exercise and place to run and play! She also needs to learn a few puppy manners when it comes to chewing, barking, and house training. She is doing well, though, and with a little patience she will continue to improve. She is crate trained and always keeps it clean and dry.
Riley is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is HW negative and takes monthly preventative as well as flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $450.
If you are looking a new furry family member please fill out an adoption application with Riley’s name on it, and someone from SRC will contact you! You won’t be sorry – This is one sweet girl!!
