My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Bjorn. I am around 5 years old and I am a stunning, neutered male cat with bright blue eyes. I am beautiful, majestic and also absolutely silly and hilarious. I love to run around chasing toys, playing with feather wands, wrestling with other cats and doing zoomies around the house. I am litterbox trained and well behaved. I am friendly with the humans and enjoy companionship, but it hasn't been an easy journey for me. I have some life-long medical needs. I have a very severe case of idiopathic facial dermatitis and I require daily ointment for my face. This is not something that can be skipped, ever. I have to have my meds daily to maintain this handsome face of mine. I also begrudgingly allow the humans to give me my liver medication, which I also need daily, and a good ear cleaning and ear meds regularly, too.

I originally came to Paws for Life Rescue after being abandoned in Warren, along with 40 other cats, in May 2018. I have been battling an array of issues since I was rescued, but the nice people here didn't give up on me. They kept trying until they found the right combination of meds that work for me. And I am doing so much better! For awhile, you couldn't see my face or my gorgeous eyes because I was covered in a bacterial infection. I feel SO MUCH better now. I am happy, loving, friendly and ready for the last part of my journey - to a loving forever home. So, if you and your current cats (yes, I need friends!) are looking to add one of the most beautiful cats ever to your home, and you are comfortable with daily medical needs, then please apply for me today! You'll be so glad you did! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $110. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
