Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I’m glad to see you checking out my page! I’m Guerrero and it’s great to meet you. I’m looking for a new family to call my own! Could it be you?
Here’s my stats:
Possible Breed: Shih Tzu
Gender: Male
Colors: Liver
Age: 12 years young
Now for the good stuff!-
Looking at me you would never know that I'm a senior. I love to play with toys and make them squeak. Watch out because you may look up and all the toys are by my crate. I have moved them from all over the house to my special spot. I like to collect them! You will have to watch me though as I have started a sock collection too!
Whether I'm in the house, car, crate or outside, I'm a wonderful boy. I try to do what is right. I'm good with other dogs as I'm in a house with lots of them. So I'd be okay in a family with other dogs or all by myself.
I do like to know where my person is and it's okay if they are in another room as long as I know where they are. Sometimes I stay in the other room as I like to squeak my toys and I don't want to bother my person. I'm a good couch potato snuggling with my person or if they aren't available I'll snuggle in my own dog bed for a nap.
For being a senior I'm very healthy. I don't take any meds or anything. At first they thought I was blind but FM thinks I'm visually impaired as I get around just fine and nothing slows me down.
I'm am the king of the head tilt and proud of it! I know my name and will look right at you when you say it, so don't talk about me behind my back or I will know it. When I hear a high pitched noise I tilt my head back and forth like crazy - kind of cute if I do say so myself. Pick me up and watch out - I go totally limp, like a wet noodle, just letting you know I like it.
Everyone who meets me thinks I'm just precious. Do you think I could be your precious boy?
PS. I've had ALL my vetting, and oh boy, it was a lot. Here's what I had done..
Distemper/Parvo shots - TWICE (Foster Mom said we have to have two so that we are protected from these horrible viruses. One doesn't cut it.)
Bordetella shots - ALSO TWICE.
Spay/Neuter, of course.
A fecal exam so I don't have any bad worms.
A heartworm test.
BLOODWORK to make sure my liver and kidneys are working well, because you know, we doggies often have issues in the liver and kidneys.
A DENTAL exam AND cleaning if I needed it- yep, all my toofies are checked so they can be in tip top shape
See, that's a LOT. Ask your vet - that's a LOT.
You can apply to adopt this adorable little fluff at www.shihtzu-rescue.com. This adorable little fluff has been spayed or neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative.
