Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTICE: Like most all reputable rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to families who live outside a 1 days drive (500 miles) from our location here in central Minnesota. Thank you.
NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION… A BIG hello to “CARTER”, who is beautiful, neutered Parti Standard Poodle.
Sadly, Carter comes to us from a family who had to move and could not take their beloved big boy with them. Carter has always been deeply loved and well cared for by his family. Thank you, AJ.
This gentle giant was born April 19, 2013. Presently he weighs a healthy 66 pounds and stands at 27” tall measuring from the floor to his shoulder.
Carter is about perfect in every way and very smart. He will come when he is called, will “sit” and “down” when instructed.
Friendly? You know it! He enjoys going for a walk to meet people, but he is not looking for walks that are miles long. He enjoys being outside, but prefers being inside your home with you. Going for a ride in the car? Carter would love to join you and socialize with everyone he meets.
This is a soft, easy going, quiet and gentle boy! With his long muzzle, he will lift your hand so you will give him some loving attention while his eyes search yours. He really enjoys just being with you as he considers himself a family member and not a dog. Carter loves men as well as women and we certainly would keep Carter for ourselves, but he prefers to be an ONLY dog.
Carter’s teeth have been cleaned, he is up to date with his shots, worming, is Home Again micro chipped and registered, has been heartworm and Lyme’s tested negative. While his teeth were cleaned, our Vet had removed two lumps from his back. The lumps were dissected and a determination was made that both lumps were benign! This means that these are non-cancerous tumors. That certainly was good news for Carter and helped us save the cost of sending them in for diagnosis. Again, the lumps were NOT cancer.
PLEASE NOTE:
*NO other dogs. While Carter tolerates other dogs, he has been an ONLY Poodle and prefers to remain an ONLY dog. Again, he considers himself a family member and not a dog.
*NO cats as they are afraid of him. Older children are fine but NO young children as he will knock them over.
*Preference will be given to an active family with Standard Poodle experience.
*A fenced yard is preferred as Poodles love to run, but not required.
To the right family, his 1 million, trillion, billion dollar adoption fee includes a leash, collar, a large bag of quality dog food, treats, toys, a folding toy box, one month supply of NuVet Plus Canine vitamins, a new blanket, a big, soft doggie bed, a LARGE wire crate, along with lots of good information to help your adoption move forward on the right paw!
OK. So his real adoption fee will be $750.00 which includes our Minnesota State Sales Tax.
