My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mggie is a beautiful 2 to 2.5 year old, 45-50 lb, Treeing Walker Coonhound.  She is now spayed and was an owner surrounder to the VRHS Shelter from Grahm County, NC when her owners moved.  Maggie is fully vetted.  At the Shelter she was noted as a fence climber and a full-time barker.  LDR pulled her from the Shelter and her barking ceased immediately as did her fence climbing.  Apparently she was unhappy at the Shelter.  Maggie is house-trained and has not caused any problems in a pack of 7 dogs.  She does like to sleep on the bed.  We thnk she would be the perfect family pet; however, a fenced yard is needed to keep her safe in an urban area.  Since entering LDR, she was hit by a vehicle and now has a stiff ankle joint iin one back leg.  She has gradually recovered and runs and plays but will always limp.  If you are interested in adopting her, please call Ron Stoessell at 985-630-1613 or email him at rontoessell@gmail.com.
