Meet Sammie - A beautiful girl who can't wait to meet her forever people. Sammie’s favourite things are people and food! She is very smart and easily trained as she is very food motivated. She currently knows sit, lay down, come, and stay. She’s not crazy about her kennel, but she will follow a treat in and stay quietly all night and when you’re out of the house. She loves to go on walks and sniff every new thing in sight. Sammie is gentle and fun with kids, and has some serious playfulness to her. She loves to play fetch and run in circles in her foster yard. While she has lots of energy, she also loves to curl up next to you on the couch and snuggle. Sammie’s biggest struggle is that she doesn’t yet trust or want to be around other dogs - when within sight of them she will bark and act aggressively. However, she is quickly and easily distracted and it’s the only time she ever barks. With a slow and patient approach, we believe she could be socialized better, but it’s likely she will always prefer to be a lone pup.
