The Handsomest Boy

Is looking for a special home. This is Smokey. He’s one year old and 72 lbs. he’s one of the most beautiful dogs we know, however, he’s not for everyone. He’s very timid. The first few times he went for a walk he was afraid to go too far from his kennel and couldn’t even enjoy playing in the outside pen. Now he has settled in and is much better but he has a ways to go before he is comfortable all the time with all people. He is very affectionate with people he knows and thinks he’s able to get up into your lap.
Smokey is a wonderful dog but he needs a laid back quiet situation. Adults only would be best and not a lot of traffic in and out of the house.
Smokey does seem to like most other dogs so you could try introducing him to yours if you like.
The shelter will never guarantee that a dog is housetrained as we really don’t know however , Smokey is one of those dogs who appears to be.
