Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Betty Boop was originally at a backyard breeders/puppy mill for her whole 7 years but LUCKILY escaped and was ferral for several weeks before she was picked up by animal control by being darted. She was pregnant and after her babies were all adopted she was adopted to a couple that were too busy to spend time with her so she hid in her crate most of the time. After she was left out, chained, and the neighbor started his giant mower, she panicked and escaped for another several days out lost. She was darted again and brought back to the pound. One oof the rescues volunteers spent a day trying to catch her and has been fostering her.
She behaves as if the entire world is new to her. She has learned to calm down a bit after 2 months by following a very calm dog in her foster home. She is not fond of kids as they run around too much and would NOT be responsible in keeping doors closed and not being loud. She likes cats and the best home for her would be someone who has a cat, a privacy fenced in yard, and stays at home allot. She has allergies to grass, mold, and pollen and is on Apoquel which is about 30$ a month. She being trained to use a potty pad to keep her allergies under control. Shes housetrained and crate trained. She is terrified of new things and routine and peace and quiet are whats best for her. She is a runner, which means if she gets out, she runs for her life. She would require a dedicated, patient, gentle person who can give her a stable, safe, home. Recently she has lost her hearing. She is undergoing medication to see if her hearing will come back, however it may be permanent. She is a Special Needs dog.
