Meet Lani! She asks that you please do not judge her by her pictures. Lani was just freed from a puppy mill and was so matted that she needed a complete shave down. She is sure to be a head turner in no time! Despite 5 years of neglect Lani loves everyone and everything she meets.
She is still learning the ropes of the good life- soft bed, house training, kind people, and she is thriving! Please submit an application if you would like to meet Lani or talk to her foster mom. We are accepting applications local to Monroe County- Rochester Area at this time.

The Puppy Mill Rescue Team, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, rescues discarded dogs and puppies from puppy mills and place them with ethical rescues that will care for their veterinary needs, house them in volunteer foster homes, and eventually adopt them into loving families. The PMRT also works to educate the public about puppy mills and supports efforts to eradicate the existence of the inhumane mass dog breeding facilities commonly known as puppy mills. The PMRT promotes choosing pet adoption, over purchasing online or from a pet store, as the vast majority of those are sourced by puppy mills.
