To meet any of Feathered Friends Sanctuary & Rescue birds, a complete questionnaire is REQUIRED. Please go to our website www.feathered-friends.com for more information and to download the questionnaire.
Charlie is a Blue & Gold macaw who came to the sanctuary after being found as a stray in Illinois. A woman noticed Charlie in a tree in her yard one day but she was unable to capture him until he became so weak from hunger that he could no longer perch in the tree. Charlie is a handsome bird and his health and appearance have greatly improved in his time with us. When Charlie first came to the sanctuary, he had almost no chest feathers and was very fearful of people. At first, we put Charlie's cage in the corner of the room to limit people walking by but now Charlie will take treats directly from people and has grown a lot of his chest feathers back. Charlie does talk a little and is gradually becoming more and more sure of himself. Please come to the sanctuary to meet Charlie and learn more about him
Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius of the Sanctuary.
We never ship our birds. Please go to www.feathered-friends.com for more info.
