My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is your name? Stella

How old are you? About 3 years old

How much do you weigh? 70lbs

What do you look like?
I’m a black beauty with a little bit of white on my chest. 💕 Oh and I have beautiful brown eyes.

What do you like to eat?
Kibble, treats and apples with peanut butter are good and I love to snack on carrots.

What kind of personality do you have?
I’m a quiet girl and a bit shy but will be your BFF once I trust you.

Describe your perfect day:?
My perfect day would be getting up to you! Going for a walk, having breakfast and playing in the yard with a friend or toys. Then hanging out on the couch with you watching a little tv and taking a nap if that is what you want to do but I’m down for anything.

What is your favorite toy?
I love anything that squeaks !

Do you know any tricks?
I know sit, wait, easy, leave it and play.

What scares you?
If you raise your voice because I think you’re mad at me. I'm sensitive like that.

Have you been around children? No I haven’t while in my foster mom’s house

Do you like cats?
my foster mom says it’s best that I don’t live with cats.

How do you feel about other dogs?
Other dogs are great. I haven’t met one I didn’t like 😊

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
With you where ever you go.

How is your health?
I’m in great shape. My foster mom has taken good care of me. I’m at the perfect weight and have nice soft hair.

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?
My foster family consists of my foster mom, my foster fur sister and fur brother. I love being with them all.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone?
In my very own bedroom.

Where do you sleep?
In my open crate in my foster mom’s room

Do you like walking on a leash?
Oh yes! I’m very good on a leash I’ve been told. I never pull and stay right next to you.

Do you have any "not-so-great" habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard?
Nope, but I will alert bark when I sense you need to know something is going on.

Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside): Absolutely!
I go potty outside before my foster mom leaves for work and again when she gets home and before we all go to bed. I’m good and never potty in my room or in my crate. Once my foster my is home I do come and go as I please through this thing called a dog door my foster mom has and it’s amazing!

Do you like playing in water?
Yes! I love to go to the lake and we have a kiddy pool in the backyard too.

What do you love about your foster family?
I love that my foster mom has been patient with me while I learned the rules of the house. I feel happy and safe there. My fur brother and fur sister are fun to have around too.

What was your life like before being joining NBBR?
I was found in a cemetery after I had 7 babies. I was so skinny and hungry when I came to live with my foster mom. Now I’m healthy, happy and looking forward to the future with you.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread throughout the Sacramento area. We require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog and the home. This allows us to complete a yard check to guarantee the applicant's yard is secure, and have the dog close enough should any behavioral issues arise. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather based on what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).

Stella's adoption donation is $200
