My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosemary and Kaluna are an inseparable pair of sisters! At two weeks old their mother died in a house fire, but the girls and their siblings were rescued and handraised by on of our volunteers. It became clear by the time Kaluna was several weeks old that she was deaf. This does not stop her in any way she is a completely normal kitten, always ready for fun and snuggles! She just does not come when you call her and she likes to ride on the vacuum cleaner! Because she is deaf she needs to be adopted with her sister Rosemary. They are always together and are truly best friends! Deaf cats do better in bonded pairs, the hearing cat is often reffered to as the "guide" cat. The guide cat can communicate in was we can not with the deaf cat. This helps to teach what to be afraid of and also household routines to the deaf cat. Kaluna and Rosemary are both happy go lucky girls who just want someone to love them! They love to snuggle on the bed with their people! They will bring great joy to who ever adopts them!
