Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Missy! Missy is an 8 yr old Westie who came into rescue when her elderly mother could no longer care for her. She was well loved and well cared for the first 8 yrs of her life. Her family wanted to be sure Missy found a loving home that could care for her and love her the way her mom did.
Missy is a very independent dog – she likes to keep you in sight but doesn't need to be under foot. She likes to play with her toys, by herself, but hasn't been a fan of interacting with a person and a toy. She sometimes likes to bat around her food like a cat would. It's very cute.
Missy likes it when you scratch her head and REALLY enjoys having her booty scratched. She LOVES going for walks and the minute you get the leash out she is hopping to go! She is a polite walker with no unruly tugging.
Missy has spent her entire life in an apartment and was taught to use pee pads. Her foster mom is working on house training and has made some progress but it can be slow going when a dog has been taught to go inside and that has been the norm for 8 yrs. Her adoptive family will need to be patient with her and continue to work with her on potty training. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night.
Missy has been an only dog all of her life and doesn't like other dogs that much. She lives with other dogs in her foster home but she definitely prefers her space. Such a diva! She'll be fine in a home with another dog as long as that dog respects her boundaries.
Missy is spayed, up to date on shots and on heart worm preventative.
