Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet and cuddly Sister is approximately a year old and weighs around 15 lbs. She has the most interesting and beautiful markings and such an adorable little underbite! Our best guess is that she’s a terrier mix due to her feisty, fun personality.
When she first arrived in our foster home it took her a couple of days to warm up to us. It didn’t take her long to start feeling comfortable in our home and her sweet, fun personality began to emerge.
Sister has been great with our other dogs and they have liked her as well. She usually follows us as we move around the house and generally chooses to be near one of us when she settles down to rest. Sister loves to be held and enjoys napping on our laps on the couch in the evenings. At night she likes sleeping in a doggie bed in our bedroom. In our household someone is home most of the time but when no one has been at home we’ve crated her and she has done fine. She can be a bit hesitant when meeting new people but she warms up when given time.
It was a few days before we heard Sister utter a sound but now we hear her melodious bark quite frequently. She especially enjoys watching for other neighborhood dogs to pass by on their walks so she can bark at them! She has been taken for walks each day that she has been with us and has done well but she tends to move in different directions because she’s so curious about sights and smells so she definitely needs more practice with walking on the leash. She loves chasing squirrels and rabbits whenever she encounters them.
Sister enjoys chewing on cow hooves and she has recently discovered toys! She chooses a favorite toy, holds it in her mouth, and runs around the house or yard with it. There are young children next door to us and she was a bit hesitant when they wanted to meet her across the fence but we think she would be fine in a family with older kids who know how to treat dogs with consideration.
Sister’s ideal forever home would definitely have a fenced in yard for her to explore and enjoy, and perhaps a canine playmate. Her foster family absolutely adores this little pup and we know that she will make a lucky family very happy! Sister is the complete package: she has a stunning appearance, she’s a great size, she’s cuddly and affectionate, and she has a fun, energetic personality. She’s a wonderful little dog and we would love for you to meet her!
Email FCRCrescue@gmail.com to inquire about this sweet girl. She is located in Huntsville, AL, but is happy to travel wherever her journey leads. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on preventatives.
