My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocco is an amazing 1 1/2 yr old red goofball with cropped/flopped ears and a docked tail. This sweet boy is clingy! His signature move is to plop his head on.....everyone! His dad, his mom, as well as on his foster brothers. It's as if he cannot get close enough. He is a laid back boy who is gaining confidence and becoming more and more playful with every day in his foster home. He seems to be learning that toys can be fun, developing a fondness for ropes and tug toys and is realizing balls can be amusing as well. He is very food motivated and will flourish in his rewards based obedience class, which is required of all of our dogs post-adoption. This little Einstein has already mastered sit and is working on "down". He gets along famously with other dogs but he is not cat safe and has deemed all felines public enemy #1. His leash manners are improving quickly! Rocco is a joy in the house and does not need to be crated, provided food items are out of reach and secured. He came to us on the thin side but is gaining weight and learning that he doesn't need to bolt his food. His foster parents currently put some items in his bowl at mealtime to slow him down a bit.
