My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adorable Gunnar has quite the story to tell and by the way truth be told we have no idea what his breed(s) are we are just guessing. If you have kids or have never had a dog before just know now you cannot be considered as an adoption candidate. Gunnar was on death row at a local shelter. It appeared that he had been semi permanently muzzled by his prior owner. He was extremely wary of people at the shelter and will need a person willing and able to work with him on trust issues. It is our guess that his prior owner muzzled him because he was attempting to bite and this situation made things worse. Once we liberated Gunnar he had a full check up and was deemed adoptable. He has not bitten or tried to bite anyone since we pulled him. But he will need to feel safe in his forever home and this we believe will require a dog savvy responsive owner. Gunnar does get along with other dogs but could benefit from training/socialization. BTW he did great at the groomer. He will require regular trips to maintain his beautiful coat.
