My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in HARLOW or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here
Please email the completed application to allison.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

HARLOW and siblings were born approximately on 3/23/19. At just 2 days of age, these babies and their mommy traveled to the most amazing foster home you can possibly imagine! Every human (big and small) in the foster home showered the whole doggy family with endless care and affection. Most importantly though, they received the immeasurable physical and mental benefits that only come from being raised by their mom. At 7 weeks of age they left mommy and traveled to individual foster homes for more one-on-one attention. All the foster parents say these babies are well adjusted, loving, fun, and way ahead of the potty-training curve for pups their age (thanks to living with their mommy). The foster parents also brag about how laid back all the babies in this group are.

HARLOW and siblings have all been socialized with children and taught manners by multiple adult dogs. Like all happy pups, these siblings enjoy play time. That being said, this crew enjoys napping and snuggling just as much. Each of these babies is going to make an incredible addition to any family looking for a big, cuddly new family member!

HARLOW is microchipped and will be up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations, when she joins her forever family.
Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after she is officially adopted.

Please email the completed application to allison.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and our own private transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
