Lucas is a Treeing Walker Coonhound about 3 years old. He is tri-colored and likes to go with his nose to the ground like a lot of hounds do! He came to the shelter very thin and his front legs were swollen. Had he been lost while on a hunt? Had he been fending for himself for a while? We wish they could tell us, but we can only wonder. Lucas has now been neutered and is being treated for lyme disease, which the vet said had caused the swelling in the joints of his legs. Lucas seems to be strong and anxious to go, so he pulls some. He likes attention and may not have had a lot of it in his life. Lucas needs a new home and someone to give him his second chance at a good life!
