THIS IS ARYA….for you “Game of Thrones” addicts…the Queen may be dead, Jon Snow may be at Nights Watch…but OUR little Arya certainly is a warrior. This precious little 12 lb, cream colored, 4-5 yr old, Shih Tzu came into the San Jacinto Shelter so badly matted that the hair pulled away from her skin causing wounds. Maggots developed and we can’t imagine the pain she was in. Six weeks later, she has her spirit back, hair grows, she is strong as her namesake and she is a very happy and grateful little girl!
Arya is a very active, playful, curious and busy girl! The horrible condition she came in the shelter thought she was 8 yrs old….but that wiggle butt she has is NOT 8 yrs old! She wants to romp and play and take long walks and experience life that she has never experienced before. To watch her play with toys shows the joy she now feels! She is very affectionate and loving, once she settles down — and a belly rub will help her do that! Her gentle little kisses are sublime. With a bit of training, Arya will be a wonderful companion — and have the life she always should have had. Do you think you might be the home for this angel with a crooked halo?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
