Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 08/06/09: Jesse is a 7 y/o 10.8 lb yorkie boy who found himself at the shelter twice in his short life. He is doing very well in hi foster home; he loves to eat and likes one cup of string beans with every meal to fill him up. He's a smart little boy and is now very well behaved; he loves to bring a toy to be thrown for him, he loves to walk and loves car rides, he loves life if there is no other dog in it. Jesse has learned to behave himself when other dogs are in the house, but it is very hard for him to restrain himself - it's for this reason that Jesse needs to be the only dog in the home. He is housetrained and as long as he gets his daily walks, he doesn't need to go to a dog park. This little guy just needs a friend to watch TV with him and take a nap with him and take him for car rides. He will take advantage of you if you let him, but will love you unconditionally forever.
UPDATED BIO 7/8/2009: Jesse is a 7 y/o 10.8 lb yorkie boy who found himself at the shelter twice in his short life. The reason is a mystery to FM who says he is everything anybody could ever want in a dog. He is a very well trained yorkie who loves to have a person to sit by, many times wanting to play. He walk on a leash beautifully and sits on command, in addition to his other tricks.
Jesse doesn't appear to care for other dogs, and it would be best if he was the only dog in the home. After waiting 7 years to finally find a family to love him FURever, he doesn't want to share that love with anypuppy. However, FM has been working on his doggy "manners". Now, once FM teaches him not to be aggressive with another dog, he stops and doesn't do it the next time he sees them.
Jesse has also been wonderful with FM's grandchildren. He lets them pick him up if he doesn't have a toy in his mouth. He may growl if he's playing with a toy, fearful someone will take his "baby" from him. Jesse loves everyone he meets but is a little shy for the first minute or so. He falls fast alseep by 9:00 pm and doesn't move until he sees FM's head get up in the am. Jesse is just a great little guy who has had some bad breaks in life and just needs a strong owner and a stable life. Could it be you?
THANK YOU FOR RESCUING ME FROM THE SHELTER
UPDATED BIO 06/29/09: Jesse is a 7 y/o 10.8# yorkie who is being fostered in Boynton Beach, FL. Jesse still wants to be the only dog in the home - the Prince of his Kingdom! Foster Mom continues to work on his socialization and she reports that he is wagging his tail more these days ~ yeah! Jesse is getting much better being around other dogs, but only if they're not living in the same home......he will bark at them, but she corrects him immediately and he will then sits on command and stop the barking. Good Boy! If you want a loyal, smart and loving companion, Jesse is the dog for you!
UPDATED BIO 06/06/09: Jesse is a 7 y/o 9.8# yorkie who is being fostered in Boynton Beach, FL. Foster Mom has learned that he is totally housetrained - yeah! He sits on command, lies down and sometimes will give his paw. What a smart boy!
ORIGINAL BIO 6/5/2009: Jesse is a 7 y/o, 9.8# Yorkie boy and is the newest "fur kid" on the block. Jesse's story is rather sad; it appears that Jesse somehow found his way into a local high-kill shelter a year ago and was adopted to what was supposed to be his FURever home. Sadly, just a few days before being rescued by UYR, Jesse was returned by those same owners to the very same high-kill shelter, covered in ticks. If not for UYR, Jesse's fate was grim.
Jesse is a sweetheart and appears to form bonds easily with his 'person'. We will update you once more is known about little Jesse
