My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joey is a very handsome four year old male. He is a mild mannered little guy and weighs about thirteen pounds. What he loves most is to just be with you. Not a super active dog....loves to frisk around in the yard, play with toys, enjoys snuggling. Joey wants to please and he is very easy to train. This little cutie is already crate trained and house trained plus walks well on a leash. We think Joey has been abused/hit in the past. For example, if you throw a toy for him to retrieve he will love it!! But, you can’t throw it at him. You have to throw it away from him. He is so loving and happy, but still has a little fear of being hurt/hit. He’s not timid...just does not like things coming at him suddenly. We expect he will get over that with a little time and love. Joey has been vaccinated, neutered, and treated for heartworms. He needs a home with a securely fenced yard. He requires a home with no kids, but cats are probably okay. A home check and good vet reference are mandatory to adopt him. Adopter must be able to drive to the Lufkin, Texas area to get him.
