Meet Lacey!
This wonderful little girl is pure "cuddle-bug-ness" wrapped in fur! Lacey is a 10 week old mixture of a Pug Mommy and Maltese Mix Dad. It was not a deliberate litter as the owner of the pug had not spayed her and his son came for a visit from Texas and then there were puppies. (Mommy has since been spayed). Mom was a 100% Pug and very sweet.
Lacey has the Pug personality. Super affectionate and loves to be on you, near you, touching you, very playful and a big eater! She is very smart and connected and gets along great with the other dogs in the house, as well as the cat and the birds!
Because she is not a pure Pug he has an adorable face without the typical Pug breathing problems making her a great candidate for walks and an active family, and also has a slightly longer, softer coat. She has longer legs and currently weighs about 5 pounds. We think she will be about 13-16 pounds full grown.
Her adoption fee includes her spay (per the terms of our adoption agreement), her current vaccinations (she has had two sets thus far), microchip, deworming, crate training, harness, leash, starter food and bed. An adoption fee does apply.
As we prescreen via email ONLY please tell us a bit about you such as:
1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule.
2. Area you live in and if it is a house or apartment.
3. How many adults, children and pets in the household.
4. Where your pet stays when you are out or at work.
5. Where your pet will sleep.
Some notes to consider before applying for Cagney:
1.As she is a 10 week old people please make sure everyone is on board with the time it takes to train your new puppy so that he will be that perfect canine citizen.
2. We are not affiliated with Smashface Rescue. Please do not call them. Your call will not be returned.
3. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER.
4. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
