My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Aria. She is weird. No, we mean she is really weird. She will sit on you when you are lying down, but will not lie on you when you are sitting down. She will always come when the other cats are called, but will only occasionally come when she is called. One minute she looks at her foster mom with such devotion, and another minute she looks at her foster mom as if she is seeing a monster from outer space (for the record, her foster mom is not from outer space). You may admire Aria’s fuzzy belly, but you are not allowed to touch the fuzzy belly. Aria thinks that feet under the bed covers might be monsters. Again, there are no monsters, of any kind, in the house. Aria does not like men. This one is not a joke. Aria is scared of men and it would be best if she was adopted into a house that does not have a male resident. Can men come over to visit? Sure, we don’t judge. We like men too. Aria wants a cat lady. A cat lady who likes weird cats who does not have monsters in the house.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
