Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mr. Moose was caught in a live trap just before the weather got cold last fall. He’d been on his own for a long time and people were worried because winter was coming and they wanted to make sure he would be safe. Moose took a long time to come around and trust people but our dedicated volunteers, along with Mikey the cat, spent many many hours working with him and one day he just turned the corner. Mikey just wouldn’t take no for an answer. Every day he sat in front of Moose’s cage until Moose finally came out of his hidey place and started on his path to a new life. Moose is a beautiful cat, who, while he doesn’t want to be picked up, likes other cats, doesn’t mind small dogs, and loves attention. His space is now large enough that we can with him and visit with him and pet him. He’ll rub against us and will meow for visitors. He doesn’t mind older kids. And when Sharry, the adventure cat, fell through his roof into his home, he made her welcome. We’d love for Moose to find a home where he’ll be allowed to be himself, to, at his own pace become the kitty he’s meant to be, and to be loved and kept safe and warm, an indoor kitty who won’t have to worry where his next meal is coming from.
