My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mollie Fay is a 17 pound bag of sweetness and cuddles. This baby was a surrender by her loving owners who have had her since she was a puppy. Her prior owners are a sweet elderly couple who moved to a small apartment and then discovered that Mollie Fay had bladder stones. The surgery was just too cost prohibitive so Mollie Fay’s prior mom put out a call to United Yorkie Rescue for help. Mollie Fay currently has bladder stones and is due to have surgery soon to have them removed so it will be a while before she is ready for adoption. In the meantime, the vet has had her on medicine until her surgery. When Molly first came to her foster mom’s she was skittish, shy, and confused. She would not eat and would run to her crate and sit in the back. Her foster mom started by hand feeding her, and holding her in her lap. Mollie would just bury her little face in foster mom’s arms. By the second night, Mollie Fay was sleeping with foster mom and dad and would only go to her crate on occasion. She eventually began to eat from her bowl in the kitchen with the rest of the pack. She is now playing with one of the younger Yorkies in the home and loves to be outside! This young lady will need to see a vet regularly for the rest of her life and be checked for bladder stones. She will need to be on prescription dog food and no people food – an occasional bite of chicken or green bean is okay. Mollie Fay loves, loves to cuddle, sleep with you and just hang out on the sofa with her people. She follows foster mom everywhere around the house and jumps up and down when her people come home. Molly would do better in a home with older or no children. Mollie has a lot of love and affection to give to a family that wants to just love on her and take care of her for the remainder of her life.
