Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A concerned citizen convinced Kiwi's former owner to surrender her to Mosh Pit Rescue.
Kiwi's prior owner was an older lady and she meant well but wasn't able to care for a long hair cat.
Kiwi was in TERRIBLE condition. Her hair was so matted she was unable to walk or move her legs enough to urinate without it going on her belly and into her fur - and we knew she had some kind of underlying skin condition. Her teeth are probably terrible.
We had to lion cut (essentially shave) her fur which is now growing back in. Her mobility has come back and she can now walk around. She's down a pound but still needs to lose a bit of weight.
She's been diagnosed as hyper thyroid - so every morning and night she needs a cream applied to the inside of her ears. This runs about 25/month.
We need a true diehard cat lover who wants to love the snot out of an old lady cat for the rest of her days however long those might be. A quieter environment would be preferable. Kiwi can't really climb stairs or jump up on couches. Purrs like an angel. Flips over for cuddles...
She would be a great cat for someone who lives alone and wants a buddy to love. She would be a great cat for an older couple... She doesn't need a big space - she would do great in a bedroom or apartment - or on one floor of a house. If you have a responsible high schooler who wants a cat to care for who would stay in their room...
Adoption apps are at www.moshpitrescue.com.
Our usual adoption fee is 100 for cats but in this case, we are more concerned about finding Kiwi the most wonderful end of life home where she will be loved for the rest of her days than we are about the adoption fee.
