Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diamond is a 9 year old rescue pug who is looking for a forever home. Please read the whole post before applying or inquiring. We are looking for a specific type of home for Diamond:
Diamond is a sweet, friendly, lovable, 9 year old pug girl. Diamond loves to be with you, whether sleeping at your feet or following you during your routine. She loves to play with squeaky toys. She loves to have her tummy rubbed. She loves to cuddle and watch TV by you. She looks at you like you are the only person in the world. We have allowed her to sleep with us at night. She mostly sleeps on the end of the bed by my legs. Diamond gets along with other people. She doesn’t jump up. She will bark when someone comes to the door to let you know. She does well on a leash and loves riding in the car.
Like most Pugs, Diamond loves her food. She is ready to eat anytime. She does not beg, or bother you at the table, but she does look hopeful. We have been feeding her in the morning and then again in the evening, snack midday. She loves green beans. She gets treats when she goes potty outside.
Diamond originally came into foster care from a home where she was kept outside in a shed with her friend a Newfoundland. She had done wonderfully in adapting and learning to play. She is housebroken. Having regular opportunity to go outside would be great. She is very smart and learns quickly.
Diamond is spayed, vaccinated, has had extensive allergy testing, and a recent dental cleaning. She 100% medically cleared. Her adoption fee is $150 which is a deal because she cost quite a bit to have her medical complete. However, Diamond has allergies, so she has to have food that doesn’t include certain items. She is currently getting shots that allow her to build up resistance to the items she is allergic to every two weeks to once a month. They are very easy to give. She will need a home that agrees and is able to make sure her allergies are in check so she can live an itch free life. The family will get all her medical records, but she will need more than an annual appointment at the vet.
Diamond will make someone a wonderful companion. She wants to have you all to herself and also wants to be in charge. Therefore, we recommend that she is an only dog. She has switched homes a few times because she doesn't like other dogs around her humans. However she has NO aggression to people whatsoever. For this reason, we will only accept applications where she is the only dog. We want her to have a FOREVER home. She is a very sweet girl.
She needs to move foster homes on May 29th since her current foster will be unavailable. We have another foster home in line for her, but it would be in her best interest to find a home before that so she has the least amount of transitions possible. That is... if we find the right match. After we go through applications, there will be a casual phone interview and a home visit.
