Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pinky. Pinky is a 3 to 5 year-old female Border Collie mix, most likely with some Aussie. Pinky came to us from a hoarding situation from Nevada where people dumped their dogs. The reason why we named her Pinky is because she was identifiable from her her pink collar. Before being dumped, it appears that Pinky had a previous home.
Pinky is very shy and has a hard time trusting people. Pinky is food motivated and will come to you to get treats, but then she will back off from you. The best way to interact is with her is when she has a leash on her. Pinky requires a person who is willing to invest time in overcoming her mistrust of people. She will approach strangers at the dog park and smell them, and even sometimes lets them touch her nose for a brief moment.
Pinky is potty trained and has not had an accident at her foster home. Every morning she has started to put her paws on the bed and wake up her foster dad. Pinky is also crate trained and spends her quiet time in there (it's her safe place).
Pinky is well socialized with large and small dogs, and gets along with her foster home's resident cat.
Pinky loves to play with other dogs at the dog park. She walks well on a leash and loves car rides.
The recommended home for Pinky is one that is quiet without a lot of stimulus. We do not feel that she should be placed in a home where there are kids because of their activity level (she is not aggressive towards them). She needs a person who will work with her on her obedience and build her confidence through positive reinforcement training.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html
