Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Neutered Male, 5 Years Old, UTD, Microchipped
Carson was a loved family dog - originally adopted from a shelter in Atlanta - his back has a burn scar on it that came from an unknown past that's been long forgotten. His owners moved to Michigan and due to a pregnancy ultimately decided that they needed to make the heartbreaking and TOTALLY IRRATIONAL STUPID decision to surrender Carson.
They loved him - it doesn't make sense to us why on earth they would think they couldn't have a baby and a dog. They told us about how he loves water and being out on a boat. They tried to rehome him themselves but were not able - so they contacted Mosh Pit Rescue.
He loves tug. He loves toys. He only barks when someone knocks at the door. He's as good on a leash as any big dog is. He loves loves loves people - he wants to be next to you on the couch and sleep in bed with you. When we met him he immediately rolled over and wanted his belly rubbed....
He is a big kid - probably 70+ lbs. He is good with kids but just due to his size, we would need to do a meet and greet with any kids to make sure they could handle a dog this big.
He has lived with other dogs before. The dogs would need to meet and we need to be sure they get along. Cats are likely a NO. Carson likes to chase every critter in the yard so he would probably harass a cat.
Please help us share Carson! Let's get this big guy rehomed.
An adopter will need to fill out the adoption application at www.moshpitrescue.com and will need to be vetted through Mosh Pit Rescue - we would ask for a donation to be made to the rescue as a "rehoming fee" but the amount isn't as important as finding Carson that ideal perfect home. We want him back in a permanent home and loved.....
