Dave and his brother Dan were rescued from a shelter in South Carolina. He is a puppy at about 5 months of age. He weighs in at about 20 pounds, so is not yet full-grown. He is expected to be a medium size dog.
As a hound mix he has very interesting coloring on his face. He looks like he is wearing a black mask around his eyes! His eyebrows stand out as tan dots above his eyes. He has long floppy ears mixed with tan and black. If you look carefully you can see bits of white on his body. What a cute face!
He has been living in his southern foster home with other dogs. His foster mom says that he is a “super sweet pup.” He gets along fine with his canine and feline friends. He also has time to hang out with the kids in the house and he considers them to be part of his family. He has a medium amount of energy, which you would expect from a pup his age. He loves to play and run around and then take a short nap!
His foster mom has been working with him on his house, crate, and leash training. He has been making progress. Part of that success is due to the fact that he has confidence and a zest for life. Dave is full of curiosity and wonderment, and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. He will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize him so that he can become the perfect lifelong companion. If you think Dave is the pup for you, keep on reading.
The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
