Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET REGGIE!
Reggie has had a tough life, we think. He’s around 4 years old, and is all muscle, around 45 pounds, heartworm negative. He’s been with a foster for a few weeks and has really blossomed. His ribs aren’t showing, his coat is thicker and soft, and he’s letting us see his awesome personality!
He gets along with other dogs, but his real love is humans. He wants to snuggle or follow them around “helping’ by just being there, not getting in the way, and of course loves attention and treats. He is easily trained, responding very well to voice and treats. He’s calm, and likes to chew bones, and is starting to play with dogs his size. He is very friendly when meeting new people and went to work with his foster, greeting every college student that he met warmly. He loves to go for car rides and politely watch out the windows. He enjoys walking on the leash, and pulls a bit at first till he’s gotten in the groove. He is not very fond of the crate but will tolerate it if needed, but has escaped it if not well secured. He is very well housetrained and is not at all destructive. This was proven by one instance when he escaped his crate and did not have any accidents or misbehavior during the time he was free to roam the house. The foster feels he would be fine in the house not crated because of the maturity he has shown.
He is not afraid of thunder or unfamiliar sounds, He enjoys being outside with his people, and will chase a squirrel or two if he sees them, but otherwise he will hurry out, do his business and return, even in the rain!! His main joy and purpose in life is to be near his humans! Please help us find him a forever family that spends lots of time at home. They don’t need to entertain him, just let him be there with them.
