My story

This cute, scruffy little face belongs to our Nelson. He is an 8-month-old yorkie/pekingese mix that is ready to venture out into the world and see what adventures are in store for him. He is a little shy at first until he gets to know you then he is good to go. He weighs about 14 pounds, so he is a great size for a family dog or a dog on the go with his people. He is learning to love attention and is content to just be with his people. He loves having a yard to run around in and patrol the borders from invading squirrels. He has a great, fun loving personality but he does still have a lot of terrier in him, so he can sometimes try to be a little bossy with other smaller dogs. He would do best with another easy going, non-dominate dog to play with that is close to his size or even as an only dog so he can get all the attention he wants. **All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.
