Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Lucy was lost from her family when they left her outside longer than she liked and she escaped their fence. She was missing for a couple of weeks, even seen making friends with another lost dog on the street for a couple of days. However, unlike the other dog, Lucy was too scared to let herself be caught.
She was reported one day by a finder who first though she was a bunny hopping through a field of wild flowers. When they realized she was a puppy they called in rescuers. They couldn't get close either but Lucy was so hungry, that she was trapped in a live trap mere minutes after it was set up for her.
At only around 6 months old, Lucy is a little fighter. She took good care of herself on the streets and only needed a haircut to get the sticker burrs matting her hair to get her back to her old self.
And once she remembered how good it was to be in a home, she doesn't want to be anywhere else.
Lucy gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She doesn't like to be bossed around though and an alpha dog who tries to push her around will find themselves getting a lesson from her. She has o idea how tiny she is at only around 7 lbs. She's 100 lbs somewhere in that tiny body. She's a firecracker!
She is working on house-training and doing great at it. She is still young so has had a few accidents, but overall is almost there.
She does fine with being crated and she loves a ball and is learning to fetch.
