Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tamilla is a six year old female BROWN TABBY MAINE COON. She weighs 16 pounds 12 ounces and has all her claws. Tamilla came to SPCR from Kuwait. She never went into heat to breed, so she was surrendered to find a home in the United States.
Tamilla is a wonderful cat who has had bad luck with her eye sight. SPCR had to remove one eye due to glaucoma. In her other eye, she has very limited vision, but is very important for her to maintain. Tamilla (who knows this name) recently saw the veterinary eye specialist in Wheeling, Illinois. She will need her adopter to follow up with this vet or another specialist one more time in June and, more than likely, once a year in the future.
Tamilla gets around very well. Even though she is a big girl she loves to be held and sleep with her people at night. Tamilla follows her foster mom all around the house. She also waits at the door with her foster home’s small dogs for her foster mom to get home from work at night.
Tamilla needs a home without a lot of clutter. She maps out her surroundings and memorizes them. Children would be too much for her. Tamilla would love a home as an only cat or with just one or 2 other animals. She is fine with dogs that are calm and don’t bother her. Tamilla’s favorite thing in life is when she hears the dry food bag and the food going into the bowl. She wants that bowl all to herself right after that and will swat at that time to keep other cats from trying to eat when she does. If they can respect this she is ok with them. Tamilla only eats dry food. She has no interest in canned food.
Tamilla does love cat nip toys and those are the only toys she plays with at this time. Tamilla is a wonderful girl whose primary focus in life is to be with people.
ADOPTION FEE $200. FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.
